About This Tour
The Marlin del Rey Catamaran Sunset Cruise is one of Guanacaste’s classic ocean experiences, combining sailing, snorkeling, coastal scenery and a relaxed afternoon on the Pacific Ocean.
Your experience begins with pickup from your hotel, resort or vacation rental in selected Guanacaste areas. Travel by private transportation to the confirmed departure point in Tamarindo Beach or Playas del Coco.
After check-in, guests board the catamaran and receive a brief introduction from the crew. Once the boat departs, enjoy a scenic cruise along Guanacaste’s coastline, passing beaches, rocky points, tropical forest and open-ocean views.
During the cruise, the captain will look for a calm bay where guests can swim, snorkel or simply relax onboard. Snorkeling equipment is provided, and marine life sightings may include colorful fish, sea turtles, dolphins, flying fish or seasonal whales, although sightings cannot be guaranteed.
While guests enjoy the water, the crew prepares lunch and serves refreshments onboard. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, with shaded seating, open deck areas and space to enjoy the sea breeze.
After the swim and snorkel stop, the catamaran continues along the coast as the afternoon light begins to change. On sunset departures, the return journey offers beautiful views of the Pacific sky as the sun lowers over the ocean.
At the end of the cruise, return to the beach departure point and meet your driver for the private transfer back to your hotel.
