Your experience begins with an early pickup from your hotel, resort or vacation rental. Travel in a private air-conditioned vehicle toward La Fortuna, following a scenic route through rural communities, farmland and the landscapes surrounding Lake Arenal. An included breakfast stop provides time to rest before reaching the rainforest.
Upon arrival at EcoCentro Danaus, join a guided wildlife walk through a private biological reserve dedicated to conservation and environmental education. The approximately two-hour experience follows accessible forest trails through restored tropical habitat.
Your bilingual nature guide will help search for sloths, frogs, butterflies, tropical birds, reptiles and other animals that inhabit the reserve. The walk also provides an opportunity to learn about native plants, rainforest ecosystems and local conservation projects. Wildlife sightings vary naturally and cannot be guaranteed.
After completing the nature walk, continue to Ecotermales Fortuna for an included lunch and time to relax. The property features naturally heated volcanic water flowing through a series of thermal pools surrounded by tropical vegetation.
