I have been using Guanacaste viajes for the last seven years, for my twice a year trips to Guanacaste. Manuel goes over and beyond to make sure his service is impeccable. The drivers are professional. The vans are clean. They are always prompt. I had the opportunity to finally meet Manuel this trip from the airport to my hotel and to see Fabian again, who has been my driver most of my trips. Their prices are fair and reasonable. I recommend , if you need either transfers or a tour, Guanacaste Viajes should be your number one choice.

Such an amazing time! Our tour guide, Elvis, was so helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. The tour started with Tio Leo’s Coffee farm. It was great and informative. It wasn’t the right season to pick coffee beans but there were a few good enough to see and embrace how they’re made. We snacked on other fruit on the farm including a cashew apple – I’ve never tasted one before. We made empanadas, roasted chocolate beans, and pressed sugar cane. It was amazing. Tio Leo, the owner, led the tour and signed our coffee. 😉 Next we drove to the waterfall and though it was busy it was such a nice experience. The water was refreshing and not too deep. Elvis gave us plenty of time to enjoy ourselves and do our own thing. Overall it was such a nice experience. Would definitely recommend.

Ariel (to resort) & Carlos (to airport) were friendly & super knowledgeable about the area. Made the 1.5 hour drive to the resort a pleasant experience. It was a private transfer for a lot less money than the resort was charging for shared transfers to/from airport. I saved $100 by using their services and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Best part was receiving an email with the drivers name & license plate number so I could be assured I was getting in the right vehicle. If you want a private taxi with great local people, then this is the company for you!

GREAT company! Driver Fabian was on time, friendly, and, most importantly, a safe driver. You should do as I did and book your roundtrip hotel/airport transfer at the same time. And if your travel plans change (as mine did), they are easily accessible and quickly responsive to email.
You will NOT be disappointed with this company and their service!

Excellent service. Trip to the hotel (RIU Palace) was great. Trip back to the airport, even better. Couldn’t ask for a smoother, better experience.
Drivers are punctual, and waiting at the airport right outside. There are helpful people everywhere to help point out your ride.
Customer service is available on WhatsApp, much appreciated as well.

The CLEAN, MODERN, SPACIOUS TRANSPORT was my first impression. The driver picked our family up from the airport promptly. He was engaging and conversed with my granddaughter in Spanish. Even though her proficiency in the Spanish language is high school level, he demonstrated patience and humor while explaining the different local dialect. He pointed out points of interest in English and explained possible excursions available to us. Most importantly he delivered us safely to the RIU PALACE…

Whether you need a dependable ride to and from the Liberia airport or your wanting to tour NW Costa Rica with a professional tour guide and driver, Manuel (Manny) Barrantes of Guanacaste Viajes comes highly recommended. We used Manny the entire time we were in Guanacaste and he made our trip to this beautiful country one of best vacations ever! His pride in his country is contagious and during the entire traveling experience within the country it felt like he was part of our family!
